Attending
Registration, visa guidance and invitation letters are handled by EACL 2027, not by the workshop. Register through the main conference and follow its guidance. We will link the EACL 2027 participants page here once it is published.
Visas
Greece is in the Schengen area, so most Africa-based attendees will need a Schengen visa. For visa information and invitation letters, see the EACL 2027 website.
Start early. Appointment and processing times vary considerably by country, and they are the most common reason our authors cannot attend in person. Begin as soon as you have your acceptance notification, and request your invitation letter through EACL at the same time.
Joining remotely
You do not need to travel to take part. AfricaNLP 2027 is hybrid by design. Remote presentations are a full part of the programme, not a fallback, and no paper is disadvantaged because its authors attend online.
Subject to sponsorship, we offer internet bandwidth grants covering the extra cost of connectivity during the workshop.
